About Tanzania Electric Mobility Association

Who Are We

The Tanzania Electric Mobility Association (TAEMA) is a membership-based umbrella organization established to accelerate the transition to clean and sustainable transportation in Tanzania.

TAEMA brings together key stakeholders in the electric mobility ecosystem  including policymakers, private sector players, research institutions, financiers, and development partners to promote collaboration, policy advocacy, and market development for electric mobility solutions across the country.

Through research, knowledge sharing, and public–private partnerships, TAEMA works to create a conducive environment for the adoption of electric two-, three-, and four-wheelers, charging infrastructure, and related technologies that support Tanzania’s green growth agenda and sustainable energy transition.

As a national platform, TAEMA serves as the voice of the e-mobility sector, driving policy dialogue, industry standards, investment facilitation, and awareness to unlock the economic, environmental, and social potential of electric mobility in Tanzania.
