E-Mobility Policy Framework Working Group Workshop – Morogoro, 11–12 September 2025
The Tanzania Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH) and the Vice President’s Office – Division of Environment (VPO–Environment), in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) through the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN), are jointly advancing efforts to promote climate technologies and sustainable transport solutions in Tanzania.
As part of this initiative, the partners have developed a National Electric Mobility (E-Mobility) Policy Framework and related technical documents, including:
-
The National Electric Vehicles Policy Framework
-
The Electric Vehicles Market Assessment Report
-
The Electric Vehicles Implementation Framework and Business Models
-
The National Electric Vehicles Communication Strategy
To operationalize these frameworks, COSTECH was convening a Policy Working Group (PWG) Workshop in Morogoro from 11th to 12th September 2025. The workshop aimed to prioritize and agree on actionable measures that can accelerate the deployment of electric vehicles (EVs) and address trade-related barriers in Tanzania’s e-mobility subsector.
TAEMA, as a key member of the national e-mobility working group, was honored to participate and contribute to shaping the country’s transition toward sustainable and low-carbon transport.
